In October we will be running our final Active Rest Retreat - created by women, for women, with burnt out mothers in mind. Perfect for the woman who does it all, holds it all, keeps it all together, and even though is depleted in all areas of her life, continues to get it done. Her. She’s the reason that this world keeps spinning, and the reason why we created this retreat.
Burnout Isn’t Just in Your Head
Burnout isn’t a personal failing—it’s a natural response to carrying too much for too long without rest, support, or nourishment. The mental load of motherhood, career pressures, the invisible emotional labor—it’s a recipe for physical exhaustion and emotional depletion. And the first thing that usually gets pushed aside? You.
Unfortunately a sleep-in or organising take-away for the next week, won’t fix it. Burn out requires you to take a whole-body, whole-life stock take of what is working and what isn’t. A physical, mental, emotional and spiritual review. On the Fleurieu Retreat we focus on nourishing you from the inside out, and allowing your the support, guidance and space to gently do that stock-take.

Why Not Just Do It Yourself?
Sure, you could try to create your own retreat-from-home. But who will cook the nourishing food for you? Who will guide you through personalised and retreat-specific yoga and breathwork? Who will motivate and inspire you on your bushwalk (and what walk will you take, how do you know where to go, and please don’t get lost…). And we all know what happens when you plan ‘me time’ at home—you accidentally walk past the laundry and notice the next load is ready to be put on, you can’t stop looking at your to-do lists posted to the fridge, and the next time the kids have a hissy fit they’re running into the room interrupting your audio meditation that you * finally * found and chose amongst all the millions available on Youtube.
