Wilpena Bush Medicine you can enjoy from Home
Sharing the Wilpena Medicine
For years Sarah and Elise have been spending time on Adnyamathanha Country hiking, meditating, camping, yoga-ing, exploring, learning from local Adnyamathanha folks and immersing themselves into the nature and land that has been a home to many for thousands of years.
Hosting retreats on this land has been extremely profound for both Sarah, Elise and all of the guests who have so far said ‘yes’ to self-care, self-nourishment and self-restoration (via a Wilpena Womens Weekend with us 😉 ). To be able to facilitate a whole weekend where other like-minded women can immerse themselves amongst Adnyamathanha Country - its nature, culture and healing energy - has been truly special.
But we understand - not ALL people can visit Adnyamathanha Country when they want to…so we decided to create a little piece of active rest for you to enjoy from home. A Bush Medicine Tea - inspired by the land and steeped in culture and tradition, created with you in mind. We've partnered with Adnyamathanha family from Wadna - Kristian and Gaby Coulthard, to create a small-batch collaborative tea exclusively for our community.
Limited Edition Bush Medicine Tea
Our Limited Edition Active Rest x Wadna loose-leaf tea combines the powerful locally-picked natural ingredients of; Native Lemongrass and 'Nunji flower & Honey bush (Emu Bush)' - to relax the body and calm the mind. Both the Lemongrass and Emu Bush plants are found growing natively on Adnyamathanha Yura, and are integral to local cultural medicines and brews. We often find these plants around the place while we’re hiking or yoga-ing amongst the trees.
Recipe & Sipping Practice
Use our tea for a simple, grounding ritual that invites you to slow down and savour the moment - just like on retreat. On every retreat, we brew this tea to enjoy on bushwalks and during our morning sunrise meditations. We also gift a small bag to each woman for her to enjoy and integrate with during our trip. It’s the perfect way to connect to Country (whether on retreat, or not!), self and soothe the body-mind. You can now buy this tea for use at home, whether you’ve been on retreat with us, or not!
85g bag available for purchase now 🙌 // Smaller bag gifted to you when you come on retreat 🫶
Here’s your brewing guide for use at home…
Steep 1tbsp loose leaf tea in 250ml hot water (using a tea strainer) for 1-5mins.
While steeping: Take 10 gentle breaths. Soften your belly and unclench your jaw. Feel your feet on the ground. If you’re feeling extra sensitive today, perhaps even wrap your arms around yourself in a big bear hug.
Sip slowly (and every sip as a pause and sensory moment). Use this as a mindful moment amongst your busy day 🫶
Pro tip: this can be done at home and at work - you can create magic amongst the ‘mundane’ and small glimmers of ease and joy, wherever you are, whenever 😉
Curious to learn and experience glimmers of ease, magic amongst the mundane, slow breaths for calm, and returning home to yourself…?! Feeling drawn to the healing energy of Adnyamathanha Country, its Bush Medicine and cultural experiences…?!
Wadna is Adnyamathanha family owned and run, on Adnyamathanha Country - working to share culture and connection to Country. With every purchase, you are supporting aboriginal owned business and a women-owned and run retreat company that directly works with Adnyamathanha folk on Country during our Wilpena Womens Weekend.
